A pilot died when his plane crashed at a gender reveal party in Mexico. The incident happened on Sunday, April 18th.
According to local authorities, the plane was trying to spread pink smoke in the air to reveal the gender of an unborn baby. Unfortunately, the plane crashed near Lechuza Beach in El Tuxtla, located in the state of Veracruz.
The pilot, named Mario, was the only person on board the plane at the time of the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His age is not yet known.
Authorities started an investigation to find out the cause of the crash. No other injuries were reported. The passengers attending the party were unharmed.
This is not the first time an incident like this has happened in Mexico. In 2019, a man died while using explosives to reveal the gender of his baby.
The gender reveal parties, while exciting, are also very risky and dangerous. Many people hosting gender reveal parties have been killed or injured while attempting to create a spectacle.
It’s important to remember to always be cautious and follow safety precautions when planning a gender reveal. Pilots conducting the smoke show, in particular, should take special care to fly safely and avoid any potential tragedy. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased pilot.
